I paint marine life because it never stops surprising me. The more I learn about sharks, whales, turtles, and jellyfish, the more I realize how little we really know about the world beneath the surface.

My work is rooted in realism, but my goal isn’t simply to recreate nature. I’m interested in those brief moments that make you pause
– a familiar animal seen from an unfamiliar perspective, an unexpected shape, a quiet movement, a feeling of depth.

Every painting begins with curiosity. If it encourages someone to look at the ocean—and the animals that call it home—a little differently, then it has done its job.
